The Short Version

We collect your name and email at checkout. We use them to generate your certificate and stay in touch. We don't sell your data. Payment is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Your ledger entries are yours. You control who sees them.

What We Collect

Information you give us:

• Your name — used on your certificate and your account
• Your email — used to deliver your certificate and communicate with you
• Your ledger entries — stored privately unless you choose to make them anonymous or public

Information we don't collect:

• Payment details — these are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or process your card number, expiration date, or security code.

How We Use It

Your name and email are used for:

• Generating your certificate of intention
• Account creation and identification
• Communicating with you about your account
• Sending our monthly newsletter — only if you have public ledger entries and only the entries you've chosen to make public

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information to third parties. KarmaCompound products are ad-free. The universe does not run ads either.

Your Ledger Entries

Every entry you make in the ledger is yours. You choose whether it is:

• Private — only visible to you
• Anonymous — may be selected for the monthly newsletter without your name attached
• Public — may be selected for the monthly newsletter with your name attached

We will never edit your entries. We will only choose carefully.

What you write in the Fire Ceremony is never stored, saved, or seen by anyone. It is received by the fire and that is all.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your account details, certificate information, and preferences across sessions. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled. You can review it at stripe.com/privacy. KarmaCompound never stores or processes payment card data directly.

Data Protection

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Your data is stored securely. We will notify you if we become aware of any breach affecting your personal information.

Your Rights

You may request to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Delete your account and associated data
• Update your name or email

Children

KarmaCompound is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy we will note the date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
